Baku hosts ceremony on 130th anniversary of Azerbaijan Railways
Baku, October 14 (AZERTAC). A grand ceremony on the 130th anniversary of Azerbaijan Railways CSC was held in Azerbaijan State Philharmonic after Muslim Magomayev.
Opening the ceremony, Arif Asgarov, chief of Azerbaijan Railways CSC highlighted development achievements in this sphere of transport. He emphasized the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the construction of new railway lines and in the strengthening cooperation with neighboring countries in this field.
Addressing the ceremony, the deputy minister of Azerbaijan Ministry of Transport Musa Panahov informed on the Executive Orders of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev awarding employees of the Azerbaijan railways CSC on the occasion of its 130th anniversary.
Vadim Morozov, vice-president of Russian Railways OSC read a letter of congratulation of Vladimir Yakhunin, president of Russian railways OSC to the participants and awarded gold medals some employees of Azerbaijan Railways CSC.
