BAKU HOSTS ROUNDTABLE ON KARABAKH DISPUTE
Baku, 19 December (AZERTAC). On December 18, Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a round table meeting on theme “Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict: 2009 overall results and future prospects”.
The meeting focused on aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace building process in 2009 and OSCE Minsk Group efforts towards its solution.
The participants said 2009 saw appreciable dynamics in the negotiations process within the framework of OSCE Minsk group and hopes are high that 2010 will bring out a constructive solution. Also the meeting addressed the relationships between Azerbaijan and Russia, Russia and the United States, role of the world powers in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, major energy projects, regional security and other issues.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Office of the President, members of Milli Majlis, non-governmental organizations, experts in international public policy, etc.
