Baku opens exhibition of Azeri and Egyptian junior artists

Baku, June 13 (AZERTAC). An exhibition of junior artists from Azerbaijan and Egypt opened in the Azerbaijan Artists Union on Tuesday.

The speeches were made by Egypt`s ambassador to Azerbaijan Sabir Abdulgadir Mansur, director of the Egyptian Cultural Center, doctor Mustafa Muawwad Abdel-Tawab, director of Baku Art Gallery Eldaniz Babayev, head of “Esmiralda” art studio Esmiralda Tagizade, secretary of the Azerbaijan Artists` Union Aga Ali Ibrahimov and department head of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Galib Gasimov.

About 100 painting works were demonstrated in the exhibition held with support of the Azerbaijan Artists` Union and the Egyptian Cultural Center in Baku and initiated by Baku Art Gallery and “Esmiralda” art studio.

The paintings cover the countries`culture, architectural monuments, religious and historical holidays and ethnography.

Exhibition participants were awarded with diplomas. The exhibition attended by 25 Azerbaijani and 15 Egyptian artists will last till Saturday.
