Baku, December 12 (AZERTAC). “Belarus attaches high significance to development of the regional cooperation with Azerbaijan”, Belarus Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Pastkevich said during the press-conference dedicated to the results of 2009.

Ambassador said five visits were arranged to Azerbaijan this year as a part of regional cooperation, including visit of the head of the largest Minsk oblast of Belarus. Mr. Pastkevich underlined that Belarus sealed agreements on cooperation with Baku, Sumgayit, Khachmaz, Ismayilli, Goychay and Shaki regions of Azerbaijan.

He said production of Belarus cars and assemblage of agricultural equipment were put in order in Ganja. Agreement on creation of a laboratory to train specialists to produce Belarus equipment on a basis of Ganja Agrarian University has been already signed.

“Next year, Mogilev lift plant will replace lifts in Azerbaijan. It is the start of egional cooperation between the two countries”, Pastkevich said.
