COE DELEGATION TO PAY PRE-ELECTORAL VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN

Baku, December 4 (AZERTAC). A delegation of the Council of Europe`s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities will kick off a visit to Azerbaijan next Monday for a pre-electoral mission to inspect preparatory works ahead of municipal elections set for 23 December.

The congress` experts will meet government officials, representatives of non-governmental organizations as well as management of Central Election Commission.

The delegation, headed by Turkish MP Gaya Doganoglu, will include parliamentarians Nigel Mermagen from the United Kingdom, Istvan Borbely from Hungary, Dobrica Milovanovic from Serbia and Gudrun Mosler-Tornstrom from Austria.

The team will also monitor the voting process.
