EUROPEAN EXPERTS DISCUSS MEDIA FREEDOM AT AZERBAIJAN PRESS COUNCIL
Baku, December 9 (AZERTAC).Visiting experts of the Council of Europe Manuel Lukbert and David Goldberg have today visited the Press Council to discuss media freedom programs in Azerbaijan.
Deputy Chairman of the Press Council Umud Rahimoglu told CoE representatives about the role of the Press Council in regulating media-government and media-public relations.
European experts said the main aim of the visit is to hold discussions on implementation of European Commission’s and Council of Europe`s joint projects on media and information freedom in South Caucasus and Moldova.
Issues discussed at the meeting also included situation of the freedom of speech and media.
