FRENCH EMBASSY IN AZERBAIJAN MARKS COUNTRY`s BASTILLE DAY
Baku, July 14 (AZERTAC). French embassy in Azerbaijan has organized today an official reception to mark the country`s public holiday - Bastille Day.
Opening the event, Ambassador Gabriel Keller praised the relationship between Azerbaijan and France. The diplomat said reciprocal visits and high-level meetings contribute to boosting relations between the two countries. He expressed hope that bilateral political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation would continue to develop.
The ambassador also hailed the ongoing development processes in Azerbaijan.
Attending the event, chairwoman of Azerbaijan`s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Hijran Huseynova congratulated the French people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev. She noted Azerbaijan-France relations were deeply rooted. Huseynova particularly underlined national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in development of Azerbaijan-France ties. She also expressed assurance that bilateral cooperation would further strengthen.
Present at the event were chief of the presidential administration`s department for socio-political affairs Ali Hasanov, head of the Caucasian Muslims` Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, ambassadors and representatives of public.
