Head of OSCE Baku Office visits Mingachevir
Baku, April 18 (AZERTAC). Head of the OSCE Baku Office Koray Targay visited Mingachevir, the fourth biggest city in Azerbaijan, on Tuesday on the occasion of the Azerbaijan’s 20th anniversary as a participating State of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The Head of the OSCE Baku Office has met with Mingachevir Governor Niyazi Bayramov.
During the visit Koray Targay participated in the opening ceremony of the OSCE Baku Office-supported legal advice centre for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME).
The ceremony has brought together entrepreneurs, representatives of non-governmental organizations.
Addressing the ceremony, Koray Targay noted the centre would help promote sustainable economic development and enhance the business environment for SMEs in this region.
He also stressed the importance of SMEs development for diversifying the economy and increasing revenues in non-energy sectors.
Participants of the event noted that the centre would contribute its efforts to the involvement of women in the economic sphere.
A roundtable entitled “The role of the small and medium-sized enterprises in Azerbaijan`s economical development” was held at the Riverside hotel.
The participants discussed the creation of the favourable environment for SMEs development, licensing and other issues.
Koray Targay, as part of his visit to Mingachevir also met with Chief of Mingachevir Police Department, Colonel Alasgar Badalov.
