An international action “We are heirs of victory” dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Great Patriotic War started in Baku.

The event organized by Azerbaijan`s Defense Minister brought together over 30 guests from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries.

The event participants visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. They also visited the Alley of Martyrs to revere memory of the brave sons died for territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. They also revered hero of the Soviet Union, general Hazi Aslanov.

The event is held as part of the national program on celebration of the 65th Anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 signed by President Ilham Aliyev on June 22, 2009.
