METEORITE RAIN IN TURKEY
The head of astrophysical observatory of the 18th March University in a Turkish town of Canaggala Osman Demincan announced the beginning of the Perseids meteorite rain, annually observed mid-July and August and about the fact that this phenomenon can be observed by naked eye in Turkey August 12-13 nigh. Meteorites will enter atmosphere of the Earth with extremely big speed (12-72 km/sec) and will brighten the sky by burning, splitting and spilling. According to him, about 50 small meteorites will enter atmosphere for one hour, and this picture can be observed in northeast regions of Turkey.
