MINISTRY OF ECOLOGY AND UNDP TO REALIZE NEW PROJECT
Baku, May 15 (AZERTAC). Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan in conjunction with UNDP will realize a new project on the management and sustainable use of Summer and Winter Pastures. On May 15 experts of the Ministry and UNDP held joint press conference dedicated to the project.
‘Currently it is possible to breed 1.9 million sheep in winter pastures and 2.8 million sheep in summer pastures, and we need to use international experience in this field’, said Huseyngulu Bagirov, minister for ecology and natural resources of Azerbaijan.
United Nations experts briefed the audience on progress achieved in the field of the protection of environment in Azerbaijan. Experts said they are supporting Azerbaijan in this field.
