MM SPEAKER MEETS REPRESENTATIVES OF AGO MONITORING GROUP

Baku, 25 November (AZERTAC). Speaker of the Azerbaijan Parliament (Milli Majlis) Ogtay Asadov received today representatives of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers Monitoring Group (the Ago Group) led by the Permanent Representative of Romania to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Stelian Stoian.

“Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the Azerbaijan-CoE cooperation. I hope that both Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe will give a further boost to the bilateral relations”, Ogtay Asadov said. The Speaker has brought the attention to the Azerbaijan’s efforts to honor its obligations and commitments to the Council of Europe.

For his part, Mr Stelian Stoian said he welcomes the Azerbaijan-CoE cooperation and shared the belief that its continued expansion is essential for strengthening bilateral relations.

Parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
