OFFICIALS OF TURKEY`S KARS PROVINCE MEET AZERBAIJANI NEWLY APPOINTED CONSUL GENERAL
Baku, July 15 (AZERTAC). Officials of Turkey`s Kars province met with Aykhan Suleymanov, newly appointed consul general of Azerbaijan to this region.
Mr. Suleymanov said officials of Azerbaijan, including Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will implement joint projects with leadership of Kars province.
Officials of Kars province said borders with Armenia will not be opened unless occupied territories of Azerbaijan released. They expressed confidence President Ilham Aliyev-backed Baku-Tbilisi Kars railway would make a huge contribution to the province`s economic prosperity.
Mr. Suleymanov said opportunities of Azerbaijani businessmen to make investments into the province`s economy will be also studied in the near future.
Consul general met with teaching staff of Caucasus University of Kars. Mr. Suyelmanov hailed activity of the Heydar Aliyev Education Center here. Rector of the University Abamuslum Guvan said great leader of the Turkic world Heydar Aliyev was an honorary doctor of the University.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also visited the Heydar Aliyev Education Center two years ago. The center was opened in 2007 with support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
