OSCE MINSK GROUP CO-CHAIRS ISSUE STATEMENT ON AZERBAIJAN TRIP

Baku, 11 December (AZERTAC). The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs have issued a joint statement today on the outcomes of their visit to Azerbaijan .

The statement says the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Yuri Merzlyakov, the Russian Federation, Bernard Fassier, France, Robert Bradtke, United States met with President Ilham Aliyev to follow up on the discussions between Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Serzh Sargsian of Armenia in Munich November 22. As a next step, they also intend to visit Yerevan in early January.

These visits will prepare the way for further meetings between the two presidents in 2010 to finalize the Basic Principles for the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
