RUSSIAN BOOK HOUSE OPENED IN BAKU
Baku, 23 November (AZERTAC). Today the first Russian Book House in Baku has been inaugurated. The opening ceremony was attended by Ramiz Mehdiyev, head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan and Sergey Naryshkin, head of the Administration of the President of Russia.
“Today political and economic ties between our states have been upgraded to the level of strategic partnership. Opening of the Russian Book House in Baku gives impetus to the cooperation in humanitarian sphere”, Mr. Naryshkin said.
Addressing the ceremony, Ramiz Mehdiyev said that the opening of Russian Book House in Baku will undoubtedly contribute to the promotion of cultural relations between two countries. “I think it is only the beginning. Similar bookstores will open in Ganja and Sumgayit cities”, Ramiz Mehdiyev said.
As stated, the new store will boast about 30,000 trade titles, most of which have been published by AST publishing house.
