Baku, 23 November (AZERTAC). Members of the staff of Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles have recently paid a visit to Nevada. Consul general of Azerbaijan Elin Suleymanov and Vice-consul Elshan Baloglanov held meetings with local executives and employees of the Nevada Congressmen’s regional offices. The parties have discussed issues of Azerbaijani-US relations and the Azerbaijan government’s efforts to promote regional safety and to foster dialogue among civilizations and diversification of power supply. Also officials outlined the importance of rapid settlement of regional disputes from the standpoint of US strategic interests.

The meeting participants have heard the official letter to Azerbaijani diplomats on behalf of Nevada governor Jim Gibbons, members of the US Congress. The Azerbaijani diplomats have made speeches at the Department of Political Science, University of Nevada.
