Türkiye’s nomination process for COP31 discussed

Consultations were held between Türkiye and Azerbaijan regarding the brotherly country’s nomination process for COP31, said Türkiye’s Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Murat Kurum.
The Minister stated that he held a videoconference meeting with the Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Climate Issues, Mukhtar Babaev, and Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen.
In his statement, Murat Kurum said: “We held consultations regarding the COP31 nomination process and once again reaffirmed our determination to our candidacy. We will continue to combat climate change with the highest political will and take steps within the framework of our green development vision.”
