TURKPA, Council of Turkic nations boost cooperation
Baku, April 19 (AZERTAC). Visiting Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (CCTS) Halil Akinci has met with Secretary General of the Turkish Speaking Countries Parliamentary Assembly (TURKPA) Ramil Hasanov.
Ramil Hasanov highlighted the cooperation between TURKPA and CCTS and boosting of relations in different fields.
Secretary General also updated Halil Akinci on the 3rd meeting and plenary session of Assembly Council of TURKPA to be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on June 14-16.
“TURKPA four permanent commissions have been established. Relevant reports and recommendations were prepared for their submission to Assembly during the Third Plenary Session,” he added.
Halil Akıncı praised contribution of TURKPA to the development of relations between Turkic speaking countries stressing existence of joint projects between organizations in economic, trade, humanitarian, cultural and educational spheres.
The importance of participation of representatives of both organizations in meetings of TURKPA permanent commissions and CCTS permanent committees was underlined in the meeting.
The sides also discussed the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between TURKPA and CCTS.
Gismat Gozalov, Deputy Secretary General of CCTS and Kurshad Melih Sariarslan, Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA also participated in the meeting.
Halil Akinci signed the guest book and posed for photographs.
