US CITIZENS ANNOUNCED MOST WANTED IN TASHKENT
The Uzbek General Prosecutor’s Office told AzerTaj Magsudi is prosecuted for legalization of illegal incomes in Uzbekistan, swindle, tax evasion, bribery as well as organization of unlawful system for purchase and sale operations with large American companies. All related documents have already been sent to the U.S. General Prosecutor’s Office.
Ten years ago, the Magsudis commenced ‘Coca-Cola’ production in Uzbekistan, and were known in the Republic as influential businessmen. The fact that Magsudi Sr. was married to Uzbek Present Islam Karimov’s elder daughter, have made the family business more flourishing. After their divorce, however, the situation has changed: revealed crimes committed not only in Uzbekistan but also in neighboring Afganistan made the Magsudis promptly escape to the United States.
