US senators visits SOCAR
Baku, July 30 (AZERTAC). Senators from Mississippi, the United States, have visited Azerbaijan`s state oil company, SOCAR.
They met the company`s first vice-president Khoshbakht Yusifzade who spoke of Azerbaijan`s economic achievements and the role of oil and gas industry in the country`s overall development.
He noted SOCAR has multi-year cooperation with authoritative oil and gas companies of US.
Khoshbakht Yusifzade also provided information on Azerbaijan`s ancient oil history.
He also updated the delegation on implementation of regional projects as part of the oil strategy of the country founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev and continuing by President Ilham Aliyev and establishment of oil and gas pipelines` systems.
Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the US senator Hillman Frazier touched upon friendship and strategic relations between the two countries.
He underlined the importance of such visits and gave information on Mississippi`s geographical, economic, social and cultural indicators inviting SOCAR`s officials to visit US.
Congressmen and senators of Mississippi State are expected to hold several meeting within the framework of their visits.
