World countries condemn Armenia’s policy of occupation
Baku, April 24 (AZERTAC). The Columbian Parliament has passed a resolution condemning Armenia’s policy of occupation, press service of Azerbaijan Parliament said.
The 2nd Colombia Senate’s Constitutional Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and National Defense on March 28 current year passed a resolution condemning occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenia and recognizing Khojaly tragedy as genocide.
The document was put to vote by Committee’s Chairperson Senator Alexandra Moreno Piraquive. After approval by members of the Committee, the draft was submitted to the Senate’s plenary session and unanimously approved.
The document states that Columbia doesn’t recognize military occupation of Nagorno Karabakh and 7 adjacent regions of Azerbaijan by Armenia, and condemns torture and violence committed against peaceful people, especially in Khojaly genocide and calls on Armenia to fulfill the resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884 adopted by the UN Security Council.
