5 killed in shooting in central Israel, police say

Five people were killed in a shooting attack in central Israel on Tuesday, Israeli police said, according to Anadolu Agency.
"A terrorist opened fire on civilians in the street with an automatic rifle, then crossed to another street and targeted civilians there as well" in the Beni Barak city, a police statement said.
It said the attacker was killed by security forces.
No further information on the identities of the attackers or victims were given.
Following the shooting attack, a large number of security personnel and medical teams were dispatched to the city of Bnei Brak.
Meanwhile, a statement by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office said that the country’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will hold a security consultation on tonight’s incident with defense and public security ministers and other security officials.
