Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports ends Brazil visit
Baku, April 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov has completed his visit to Brazil.
The visit featured Azerbaijani Minister`s meeting with Marcio Fortes, Brazilian President of the Olympic Public Authority.
Fortes provided an insight to the preparatory work to the Olympic and Paralympic games to be held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
Speaking about the 1st European games to be held in Baku in 2015, Rahimov stressed the importance of practice exchange in this field between the two countries.
Azad Rahimov also met with Agemar Sanctos, Director for Institutional Relations of Rio 2016 Organizing Committee to discuss prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil in the field of sports.
The Azerbaijani minister also visited the Maracana stadium and viewed the construction work here.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Brazil Elnur Sultanov and Director of International Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Ilham Madatov also participated in the meetings.
