Baku, October 14, AZERTAC
On October 14, the Italian national pavilion opened at Baku Expo Center as part of the BakuBuild, the 31st Azerbaijan International Construction Exhibition, the country’s leading exhibition in the construction, building and environmental technology sectors.
The initiative was organized through the collaboration of the Italian Trade Agency, ANIMA (Federation of the Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries) and FINCO (Federation of Industries for Construction Products, Plants, Services and Specialized Works). The aim of the project is to showcase the achievements of Italian industry and promote new opportunities for cooperation between Italian companies and the leading companies in the Azerbaijani market.
A total of 24 Italian companies are participating in the Italian national pavilion.
In his opening remarks, Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Luca Di Gianfrancesco emphasized the strategic importance of infrastructure and construction for the country’s development. The ambassador noted that cooperation between Italy and Azerbaijan could go beyond simple trade exchanges, contributing to industrial partnerships, the exchange of expertise and the implementation of joint projects.
The ambassador also highlighted the excellent level of bilateral relations, strengthened by intensive high-level contacts, including visits of Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, and Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers, to Azerbaijan. Such powerful cooperation opens up new prospects across various areas of economy.
In addition to the support provided by the Italian Trade Agency to the Italian companies participating in the exhibition, a delegation comprising 15 Georgian companies will visit the Italian National pavilion on October 15–16.
The visit was organized by the representatives of the Italian Trade Agency in Baku and Tbilisi.
The exhibition will run until October 18.
