Ali Hasanov: Heydar Aliyev forever lives in hearts of Turkish people
Baku, December 14 (AZERTAC). “Heydar Aliyev forever lives in hearts of the Turkish people”, said chief of the socio-political department of Azerbaijan`s Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov at the commemorative event to mark memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev in Ankara.
Ali Hasanov said thanks to the wise policy and intense activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the state flag of Azerbaijan was waved around the world and the country took a worthy place among the leading countries. Today, the memory of the eminent person is revered both in all cities and villages of Azerbaijan and in the friendly Turkey. The national leader loved friendly Turkey as much as Azerbaijan. The grandiose monuments erected in Ankara and Sarier region of Istanbul are manifestation of great respect to memory of Heydar Aliyev. The centennial history of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations characterizes by the words of two prominent persons. Mustafa Kamal Ataturk said: “Joy of Azerbaijan is our joy and its grief is our grief”, while Heydar Aliyev said: “Turkey and Azerbaijan are one nation and two states”.
The participants of the ceremony, organized by Azerbaijan`s Embassy to Turkey and State Committee on Work with Diaspora, laid a wreath at the monument to the national leader in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Ankara.
The commemorative ceremony was continued at the Sheraton Hotel.
A documentary on “Flags of Turkism” about merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev in strengthening of Azerbaijan-Turkey relations was broadcasted.
Rector of Azerbaijan Medical University Ahliman Amiraslanov, Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkey Faig Bagirov, Chairman of Turkey`s Grand National Assembly Jamil Cicek, Azerbaijan`s minister of education Misir Mardanov, Chairman of Marmara Group of Social and Strategic Studies of VAGF Akkan Suver, Chairman of Turkey-Azerbaijan Circles Federation Bilal Dundar, Chairman of board of directors of Bilkand University Ali Dogramaji, Chairman of Turkey-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group Nejdet Unuvar told of irreplaceable merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev in establishing relations between the nations of Azerbaijan and Turkish.
