AZERBAIJAN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT`s CHAIRMAN VISITS NETHERLANDS
Baku, July 6 (AZERTAC). Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev was in the Netherlands on June-28-July 2 for a working visit.
During the trip, Abdullayev met chairman of the Netherlands` Council for the Judiciary Erik Van Der Emster, minister of justice Hirsch Ballin, President of the Supreme Court Geert Corstens, chair of the State Commission for Review of the Constitution Wilhelmina Thomassen and registrar of the International Court of Justice Philippe Couvreur.
The discussions focused on a number of issues including relations between the two countries` judicial bodies and application of international judicial precedents.
Abdullayev praised the cooperation between the two countries` judicial bodies.
He also highlighted legal reforms carried out in Azerbaijan since the country regained independence.
Abdullayev was accompanied by Azerbaijan`s ambassador Fuad Isgandarov.
