Azerbaijan, Romania discuss ICT cooperation
Baku, February 29 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov has met Romania’s Presidential Advisor for National Security Iulian Fota.
According to the press service of the Communication and Information Technologies Ministry, Ali Abbasov informed the delegation about progress achieved in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector, e-government program and other issues.
The Minister noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Romania expanded amid growing ICT sector in Azerbaijan and expressed confidence that UTI and Sweco companies, which earlier participated in the BakuTel-2011 telecom exhibition, will build a presence in the local market. He also underlined that Azerbaijan would get access to the world market as part of the mutual cooperation.
Julian Fota pointed out that Azerbaijani ICT production will access European markets through Romania stressing there are favourable opportunities to the effect.
Romania’s Presidential Advisor for National Security also highlighted the importance of cooperation in dealing with cyber-safety issues.
