Azerbaijan, Serbia boost religious cooperation
Baku, May 7 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has met with this country`s Secretary of State in the Ministry of Religion Dragan Curovic.
Dragan Curovic provided information on religious situation in Serbia. He noted that reconstruction of the Bajrakli Mosque and St. Petka church in Belgrade funded by Azerbaijan`s Government, would help to expand relations between the relevant structures of two countries.
Pashazade touched upon the state care of religion, religious communities and tolerance relations which were historically formed and supported by the government of Azerbaijan.
He also described the world forum on intercultural dialogue and World Summit of Religious Leaders in Baku as the country`s experience in international arena.
Dragan Curovic also praised model of tolerance in Azerbaijan.
He noted that there were good relations among the different religions in Serbia. He said comprehensive condition would be created for development of religious ties between the two countries.
Bishop Alexander Ishein of Baku and Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office Salman Musayev also attend the meeting.
