Azerbaijani, Argentine think tanks ink cooperation agreement
Baku, November 24 (AZERTAC). The Center for Strategic Studies at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, CSS, and Argentine Council for International Relations, CARI, have signed an agreement on cooperation and scientific exchange.
The agreement was signed at “Azerbaijan: over 20 years since restoration of independence” conference organized as part of academic, public and cultural events marking 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence in Buenos Aires.
The agreement was signed by Center for Strategic Studies Deputy Director Gulshan Pashayeva and CARI President Alberto Rodriguez Giavarini.
In talks following the signing ceremony, the sides noted that Azerbaijan-Argentina cooperation could be an important factor bringing Caspian and Mercosur regions closer to each other. CSS and CARI have agreed to implement joint cooperation programs.
The conference provided an insight into Azerbaijan’s socio-economic achievements, the causes and consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia’s military aggression against Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan’s role in West-East energy-infrastructure projects, as well as Azerbaijan-Argentine relations.
Being one of the leading think tanks in Latin America, CARI is considered the most influential research institute in region. The agreement provides for conduct of researches on various themes, academic exchange, conferences and workshops.
