Azerbaijani MPs hold series of meetings in Lithuania
Vilnius, November 28 (AZERTAC). Deputy Chairman of the legal policy and state-building committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament Rovshan Rzayev and head of the Azerbaijan- Lithuania working group on interparliamentary relations Fuad Muradov held a number of meetings as part of their visit to Lithuania.
The Azerbaijani MPs discussed country`s integration into European structures, cooperation with Euronest PA and other issues in the meeting with vice-speaker of Lithuanian Seimas, Ceslovas Stankevicius.
Stankevicius recalled his visit to Baku and pointed out parliaments` role in development of bilateral relations. The sides praised successful implementation of the joint twinning project.
The Azerbaijani parliamentarians also met with the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Lithuanian Seimas Emanuelis Zingeris and exchanged views on cooperation prospects within framework of international organizations. They also held a meeting with Lithuanian MPs Vytautas Landsbergis and Viktor Uspaskich and updated them on Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karanakh conflict , country`s dynamic economic development. The parties expressed hope on further expansion of interparliamentary ties.
Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Lithuania Naira Shahtakhtinskaya was also present in the meetings.
