Azerbaijani President congratulates Romanian counterpart on country`s national holiday

Baku, December 1 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulation to his Romanian counterpart Traian Basescu on his country`s national holiday - Great Union Day.

The President says in the letter that Azerbaijani-Romanian relations have risen to the level of strategic partnership.

“The development of bilateral relations is accompanied by a continuous strengthening of the multifaceted ties of friendship and the ever-expanding scope of our cooperation.

I am sure that by consistently continuing the initiatives we have successfully implemented on a bilateral basis within the framework of our economic cooperation, we will continue to make an important contribution to the implementation of regional energy projects.”

President Aliyev wished Basescu robust health, successes in his activities and friendly people of Romania peace and prosperity.
