Baku, June 30, AZERTAC
Azerbaijan and Romania maintain very good relations, building on a solid foundation established over the past decades, Romanian political scientist Iulian Chifu said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.
He noted that strategic partnership in the energy sector remains a key element of bilateral cooperation, but cooperation has long since expanded beyond this area. The expert noted that the leadership of the two countries has a strong mutual understanding, which has played a significant role in the development of relations.
Iulian Chifu emphasized that, today, Azerbaijan and Romania are actively expanding cooperation in areas such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, science, and technological development. SOCAR's investment activities in Romania also play a significant role, he noted, offering significant potential for further expansion.
He added that relations between the countries are also strengthening thanks to strong humanitarian ties and Romania's consistent support for Azerbaijan's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence.
