AZERI GYMNASTS RANK FIFTH IN AEON CUP-2005
Gymnasts of the club Neftchi ranked fifth among 20 teams participating in the World Rhythmic Gymnastics AEON Cup-2005 in Tokyo /Japan/, press-service of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation announced.
Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria took the first four places respectively in the team event.
In the individual competition, Azeri Anna Gurbanova ranked sixth /56,9/, Dinara Gimatova seventh
/56,8/ as the 2005 world champ Olga Kapranova, as well as Vera Sesina (Russia) and Anna Bessonova
(Ukraine) became winners of the tournament. According to the Federation, the next tournament for our gymnasts will be the World Cup round in Tashkent on November 3-7.
