Azeri minister of Justice meets CEPEJ Vice-President
Baku, December 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov met Vice-President of the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) George Stava and coordinator of the UN-sponsored Judicial Integrity group Nihal Jayawickrama, who arrived in Baku to participate in an international conference on judicial reforms.
The minister thanked the guests for participation in the conference. He informed about successful reforms in the court system of Azerbaijan and close cooperation with international organizations, including UN and the Council of Europe.
Mr. Stava praised relations established between CEPEJ and Azerbaijan. He hailed the Baku international conference on judicial reforms. Mr. Jayawickrama praised the work of the conference and interest of Azerbaijan to application of the UN Bangalore principles.
The guests familiarized themselves with justice history museum of the Ministry.
