Baku hosts constituent conference of Alumni Association of Kiev National University

Baku, August 29 (AZERTAC). A constituent conference of the Alumni Association of Kiev National University was held at the Azerbaijan State Economic University (ASEU) jointly with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU) on Monday.

The event featured speeches by Vice-rector of the ASEU Damet Bagirov, Vice-rector of the KNU Igor Lyutiy, Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishenko, MP Rufat Guliyev.

The speakers stressed the importance of overall relations between the two countries. They emphasized the necessity of developing scientific and educational cooperation.

The speakers also hailed national leader Heydar Aliyev`s contribution to developing science and education, adding this policy was today successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

A charter of the Kiev National University Alumni Association was adopted at the conference.
