Over 100 scientists from Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries attended an event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Baku State University (BSU).

Rectors of State Oil Academy, Nakhchivan State University, Istanbul Technical University, Azerbaijan State Economic University, MPs made speeches here.

A most of the educational institutions, including Azerbaijan Medical University, State Economic University and State Pedagogical University were created on the basis of BSU. It was noted that world-known political figure Heydar Aliyev, hundreds of scientists, diplomats have graduated from this University.

Rector of BSU Abel Maharramov told of all-round conditions created for development of education in the country and the large-scale projects.

Letters of congratulations of numerous organizations, including Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) were read out as well.
