Baku to host international conference on 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan`s independence
Baku, December 6 (AZERTAC). An international conference entitled “Twentieth Year of Independence: Successes Achieved and Challenges Faced on the Way to the Progressive, Fair and Dynamic State Building,” will take place in Baku, on December 7.
The event is organized by Center for Strategic Studies under President of Azerbaijan and the UN Development Program (UNDP).
A wide range of issues, including achievements gained by Azerbaijan over the past 20 years, socio-political, economic and cultural reforms, economic growth, poverty reduction, oil strategy, improvement of the transport infrastructure, equal participation of women in the society, productive agribusiness in diversified economy, balance between economic grows and environmental protection, creation of job places in the globalization and competitive economy, tourism - main power of diversification will be discussed at the conference.
The event will bring together the officials of the government and state, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, workers of science and education, local and foreign experts and journalists.
