China interested in cooperation with Azercosmos
Baku, September 5 (AZERTAC). An expanded meeting has been held at the Azercosmos OJSC with the leadership of the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) and businessmen representing Chinese Companies.
They discussed cooperation prospects between the CAST and Azercosmos OJSC and exchanged views on real cooperative opportunities.
The delegation was updated on progress achieved in the formation and development of the Azerbaijan`s space industry, as well as current and future satellite projects.
The delegation was also informed on the fact that Azercosmos OJSC over the short period has created cooperative relations with the leading foreign companies and financial foundations operating in cosmic industry.
The Chinese representatives also became familiar with the opportunities and services of the Azerspace-1 which would be launched into the orbit in 2013.
Leadership of the CAST also noted that they were interested in the cooperation with the Azercosmos OJSC.
The CAST is an organizational unit of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) is the main contractor for the Chinese space program.
