Baku, May 20, AZERTAC
“Discussions on the third day of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) focused primarily on the global housing crisis,” announced Katerina Bezgachina, Chief of Communications at UN-Habitat, during a daily press briefing organized for media representatives.
She noted that, within this framework, the economic and social significance of housing was highlighted during high-level dialogues throughout the session. UN-Habitat presented the “World Cities Report 2026,” while “The Future of Cities Partnership” was launched jointly by UN-Habitat and the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). The initiative serves as a multi-stakeholder platform aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable urban development.
Bezgachina further emphasized that the comprehensive report to be prepared within the framework of this partnership will be officially presented at the next session, WUF14, to be held in two years.
