HEYDAR ALIYEV FOUNDATION`s PRESIDENT MEETS INALCO RECTOR
Baku, July 13 (AZERTAC). President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva has met Jacques Legrand, rector of the Paris-based National Institute of Languages and Oriental Civilizations (INALCO).
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva expressed confidence that Legrand`s visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to boosting relations between the Foundation and INALCO and expanding the scope of activity.
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva said the opening of the faculty of Azerbaijani language in INALCO was a new page in development of Azerbaijan-France relationship. She added teaching Azerbaijani language provides opportunity for the French youth to learn more about the Azerbaijani people and the country`s culture and history. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s president also underlined the necessity of improving the quality of education in the faculty.
Jacques Legrand, in turn, said the interest for teaching Azerbaijani language in INALCO increases year after year. He also vowed to increase relevant efforts.
The sides also discussed how to set up a working group together with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to prepare publications in Azerbaijani language in France.
