IBA declares of Islamic Window opening

Baku, September 6 (AZERTAC). The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) has announced opening of the Islamic Window and starting up Islamic Banking and Financing activity.

The IBA press service informs that the Board of Directors approved opening of Islamic banking department.

Introduction of Islamic Banking will be carried out stage by stage.

Before the end of 2012 the Islamic Banking department will be engaged to local processes such as moving to a new office building.

During the next three month, the department will be completed transfer of Islamic recourses and projects to the Islamic Banking department and forming investment portfolio and etc.

January 2013 Islamic Window is going to service corporate clients and individuals in Azerbaijan,” it was reported.
