International conference dedicated to National Leader Heydar Aliyev wraps up
Baku, May 5 (AZERTAC). The third scientific conference on problems of Azerbaijan studies dedicated to the 89th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev has today wrapped up here. The event was co-organized by Department of Humanitarian and Social Sciences of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Baku Slavic University (BSU).
The conference attended by scholars from 12 countries including Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Belarus, Czech, Ukraine, Germany, Kazakhstan, Lithuania and others has been conducted according to the following sections: “Heydar Aliyev and the idea of Azerbaijan studies” “Pressing problems of linguistics”, “Pressing problems of literature studies”, “Pressing problems of philosophy and culture studies”, “International relations”, “History, Economy and law” other themes.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the conference held in the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, BSU`s rector Kamal Abdullayev underlined outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev`s contributions in development of education in Azerbaijan and expansion of scientific relations. “Azerbaijan`s current achievements are result of the policy once founded by national Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev” the rector added.
The rector also emphasized that this conference would play an important role towards integration of Azerbaijani science into the international scientific community, contribute to the development of education in Azerbaijan, the expansion of scientific relations.
In their part, the event attendees also made a speech on Heydar Aliyev`s unexampled services.
During the conference, Baku Slavic University signed cooperation agreements with the Dagestan State Pedagogical University and Lithuanian University of Educology.
