Medical center opened in Barda region of Azerbaijan
Baku, July 21 (AZERTAC). The medical center was opened in Garadirnag village of Barda region of Azerbaijan within Japan`s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects.
Chief of Barda region Vidadi Isayev expressed his gratitude to the government of Japan for the projects being implemented in Azerbaijan.
Japan`s ambassador to Azerbaijan Shusuke Vatanabe updated the participants on the projects, which were manifestation of friendship between Japan and Azerbaijan. The diplomat said the grant agreement on construction of the medical center in Garadirnag villages was signed between the Japanese embassy and the “Women initiatives” Public Union on February 15 2012.
The project will cover 13000 residents from Garadirnag and six adjacent villages. The project of the Japanese government worth US $ 105,787 dollars is the 11th ones being implemented in Barda region.
A total amount of the grants allotted by the government of Japan to Azerbaijan in the different fields exceeded US $ 1 billion dollars.
