MPs visit Azerbaijan`s embassy in Lithuania
Baku, May 18 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani MPs Ganira Pashayeva and Jeyhun Osmanli visited a new building of Azerbaijani embassy in Lithuania within the 4th Eurasian Youth Forum.
Azeri ambassador to Lithuania Hasan Mammadzade said it was his first working day in the new building. On close relations established between the two countries, Mammadzade said the embassy pays great attention to raising awareness of the Lithuanians about Azerbaijan`s realities, history and culture.
He hailed message by Lithuania`s MPs to the European Parliament on the 20th anniversary of Khojaly Genocide.
Mammadzade touched on positive opinions of Lithuanian deputies on “Eurovision-2012” song contest. He said events on the occasion of the 28 May - the Day of Republic of Azerbaijan will be widely celebrated in Lithuania.
Ambassador noted the large-scale projects in the fields of economy and education are also implemented between the two countries.
