Museums of Azerbaijan and UAE enhance cooperation

On September 17, an event highlighting rich history and prospects of museums of the UAE and Azerbaijan was held at the National Art Museum of Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Azerbaijan Hassan Mohammed Al Blooshi welcomed the participants. He noted that culture and heritage not only serve as a common language among peoples, but also contribute to the development of relations between states, building bridges of communication, and bringing countries closer together.
Mohammed Al Blooshi emphasized that thanks to the efforts and visionary policies of the leadership of both friendly nations, bilateral relations between the UAE and Azerbaijan have evolved into an exemplary partnership model based on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision of sustainable development.
Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Saadat Yusifova underscored the particular importance of expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE in the field of museum affairs and highlighted the future prospects in this area.
Saadat Yusifova noted that expanding ties between museums in Azerbaijan and the UAE could help bring the cultural heritage of both countries to a wider audience.
Secretary of the Zayed National Museum Fatema Al Hammadi noted that relations between the UAE and Azerbaijan are based on strong bonds of friendship and cooperation, adding that culture and the arts give these ties deeper human and civilizational meaning.
