TURKISH EX-AMBASSADOR IN TBILISI AWARDED WITH GEORGIAN ORDER
Present Turkish ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Austria Mithet Balkan recently has visited Tbilisi, where President of Georgia awarded him the ‘Honor’ Order of this Country.
The Turkish diplomat was conferred with this Order for his personal efforts and contributions to realization of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan MEP and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline. He was minister of finance of the Turkish Republic during elaboration of these projects.
President of Georgia congratulated Mithet Balkan with the award, wished him success in his diplomatic mission.
Mithet Balkan expressed his gratitude for the high Order, noting he will not spare his efforts for further strengthening of cooperation with the neighboring country.
