UN-Habitat representative: Azerbaijan’s role in urban planning is growing

“Azerbaijan is increasingly playing a key role in urban development by hosting WUF13 and focusing attention on the global housing crisis and other vital urban challenges,” Matthew Benn, who is participating in the WUF13, told AZERTAC.
“While in Baku, we observed the city’s public spaces, green areas, transport systems, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and ongoing urban development work. Azerbaijan can continue to maintain a leading role in sustainable urban development by bringing together different countries and partners,” he added.
