Universal Postal Union`s session kicks off in Switzerland
Baku, February 13 (AZERTAC). A joint session of Postal Operations Council and the Council of Administration of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) has today kicked off in Bern, Switzerland.
Azerbaijan is one of the 22 member countries of both councils of UPU.
The events, which will be attended by representatives of postal administrations of Azerbaijan, will focus on a number of important issues in the postal sector.
At the events on EMS (Express Mail Service), to be held as part of the session, Azerbaijan’s Postal Operator Azerexpresspost communications enterprise will be awarded a Gold Level Certificate according to outcomes of last year.
Moreover, elections will be held to the Board of Trustees of UPU Quality of Service Fund (QSF), which is composed of 9 countries, and Azerbaijan has also nominated its candidacy for the membership in the board.
