WORLD BANK MISSION VISITS AZERBAIJAN

WB mission on technical assistance to Azerbaijan in development of democratic institutions came to Baku on July 18.

As AzerTAj correspondent was informed at the WB Baku Office, the visit of the delegation is connected with acquaintance with the process of implementation of two projects, one of which iompletes this year and relates to structural reforms in the government and reform of budget system of the country.

Support of the National Agency on purchases, modernization of chemical enterprises, rendering of consulting services to the Ministries of Education and Health is stipulated in the frames of project as well. WB allotted USD18 million to Azerbaijan to implement these tasks.

USD9.4 million is to be allotted for the implementation of the second project on privatization of a number of state enterprises, strengthening of macroeconomic management system, as well as development of financial sector.
