`30 million people are displaced in post-war Syria`

“The biggest challenge in the reconstruction of urban development in post-conflict zones is the restoration of trust and legal documents in land ownership,” said Lena Weiler, Program Manager of GIZ, during the event “Just Transitions in Practice. She highlighted the heavy situation in the war-affected regions. "We are currently working actively in Syria, where we are collaborating with UN-Habitat. There is a post-war situation where about 30 million people have been displaced.
